Mentors Make a Difference

A mentor can make the difference as to whether or not a child succeeds in developing the self-esteem and confidence necessary to grow into a healthy productive adult. Mentoring can also make a positive difference in the life of a child by developing the support youth need in meeting the social, emotional and academic challenges of childhood and adolescence.

Knowledge is important for children and families to succeed in life. You can assist parents with their children's education by explaining homework assignments, reading books, and looking for creative ways in which children can learn and enjoy their educational experience.

Families and children need to have fun and laugh. You can be the person who puts a smile on a child or parent's face by having the family engage in fun recreational activities.

Helping community by making a Difference!

You could become a volunteer mentor if you are a college student looking to build up your resume with home visiting experience, retiree, snowbirds, professional, or a person with the heart and passion to help others succeed and accomplish goals by sharing what one knows then you have what it takes to be a successful volunteer mentor with the Parent Child Youth Mentoring Program.
